What to see and do on the Gold Coast April 2018

History will be made with the 2018 Commonwealth Games here on the Gold Coast with the largest integrated program of sporting events ever. With 18 sports and para-sports, more than 6500 athletes and team officials from over 70 Commonwealth nations will arrive to our great state of Queensland to compete and enjoy everything the beautiful Gold Coast has to offer. The games will run from 4th through till the 15th April and we have some top picks of what to see while you’re here.

Want to see the wild life and experience international cuisine…

Then the place to see is Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Park, each Friday night you can dine under the stars on the deck of the Village Green. With food pop-ups featuring Chilean Thai, Vietnamese and South African there’s also a fresh produce market an array of stalls with everything from local grown vegies through to fresh seafood. You can enjoy wines from Sirromet Wines and the Burleigh Brewery have amazing boutique beers, all while being entertained by local musicians playing live music.

If white sandy beaches are more your thing…

Whether its Broadbeach, Burleigh Heads or Main Beach, you’ll find any beach on the Gold Coast with beautiful blue water and super soft sand. So if you want to catch a wave or feel the sand between your toes, be sure to swim between the flags and enjoy the picturesque beaches here on the Gold Coast.

You can’t miss Pacific Fair with over 400 stores they house international labels like  Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Prada. There are over 20 restaurants with a range of cusine to choose from and they have a free shopping shuttle service that operates daily.
