Opened 30th October, 1971, Sea World on the Gold Coast has long been a destination for family’s and school kids promoting wildlife conservation and education about the rescue and rehabilitation of sick or injured marine animals.
Sea World on the Gold Coast is one of the only places you can see the world’s largest carnivores, the Polar Bear. There are daily shows where you can see and learn about dolphins and seals, visit the frozen exhibit, where you can see the King Penguins dive through the water with a special viewing window or waddle about above the surface in their own icy wonderland.
You can go below the ocean surface to see sharks, sting-rays, turtles and tropical fish getting a true glimpse of what it would be like to live under the sea, there is an interactive touch pool, so you can get up-close and personal with some sea life. Sea World on the Gold Coast care about wildlife conservation, you can visit the Seabird rehabilitation aviary, where you can see some of the injured or sick sea birds being nursed back to health by the experienced staff.
One of the newest attractions is Nickelodeon land with a mini rollercoaster and shows featuring all your favourite characters, you can visit the different themed sections of this attraction with Dora the Explorer and Boots, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or visit Bikini Bottom the underwater world of SpongeBob SquarePants.
