History will be made with the 2018 Commonwealth Games here on the Gold Coast with the largest integrated program of sporting events ever. With 18 sports and para-sports, more than 6500 athletes and team officials from over 70 Commonwealth nations will arrive to our great state of Queensland to compete and enjoy everything the beautiful Gold Coast has to offer. Then the place to see is Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Park, each Friday night you can dine under the stars on the deck of the Village Green. With food pop-ups featuring Chilean Thai, Vietnamese and South African there’s also a fresh produce market an array of stalls with everything from local grown vegies through to fresh seafood. You can enjoy wines from Sirromet Wines and the Burleigh Brewery have amazing boutique beers, all while being entertained by local musicians playing live music.
